Hannah Kane, Managing Director
Hack Media was founded in August 2021 by marketing communications consultant and writer Hannah Kane.
Kane is a fashion and culture writer, fashion marketing lecturer and strategic fashion marketing and branding consultant specialising in communications. She worked as a journalist and editor for a variety of print and digital publications, in lifestyle broadcasting, and as a public relations and marketing consultant for an array of fashion, technology and leisure clients.
As an author, her latest book ‘The Style Thesaurus’ is now published by Laurence King and translated into French, Italian, and Chinese.
She holds a permanent post as a Lecturer in Fashion Marketing at the Fashion Business School, London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London where she teaches postgraduate strategic fashion marketing and branding, heading up the MA Consumer Insights for Communication unit.
After moving into editing and managing teams, she worked on several consumer magazines, from ideation to distribution. 2010, she co-founded and subsequently led the award-winning independent style, culture and philosophy magazine PHOENIX.
Kane consults on commercial strategic fashion marketing projects as Managing Director of the creative content agency Hack Media Ltd.
She is a regular speaker at fashion industry events.
